Knicks booed at MSG as January skid continues vs Mavericks

Boos poured down at Madison Square Garden as the New York Knicks trailed by as many as 30 and lost 114-97 to the Dallas Mavericks, their ninth defeat in 11 games during a January freefall.

Coach Mike Brown said there was no point diving into X’s and O’s at halftime, while Jalen Brunson didn’t mince words: “It’s either we do it, we care enough to do it, or we don’t.”

Dallas also welcomed back rookie Cooper Flagg (18 points, seven rebounds), as Josh Hart labeled the effort “embarrassing” and Karl-Anthony Towns added: “Fans are doing their part and we’ve got to do our part.”
