NBA backs Mazzulla: Last Two Minutes Report says Siakam screen was illegal

The NBA supported Joe Mazzulla by stating in its Last Two Minutes Report that Pascal Siakam set an illegal screen late in the Celtics’ loss to the Pacers.
The league ruled it an incorrect non-call on the decisive possession.

The play in question: Siakam screened near the top of the arc, Derrick White lost balance, and Siakam then got the ball back from Andrew Nembhard.
He pump-faked, stepped inside the foul line and hit the leaning bank shot with 6.1 seconds left for Indiana’s 98-96 win.

The report says Siakam was late establishing position and didn’t allow White time or space to avoid contact.
It also notes Boston’s recent officiating disputes, including Jaylen Brown’s $35,000 fine for referee criticism.
