Apu Udine signs Kristers Zoriks

Apu Old Wild West Udine announce the signing of Latvian guard Kristers Zoriks (born 1998) from Hiopos Lleida

Apu Udine have officially announced the addition of Kristers Zoriks, a 195cm Latvian perimeter player coming from Spain’s Hiopos Lleida.
Sporting director Andrea Gracis calls him a “solid and versatile” player, effective without needing to be flashy and able to blend into existing team balance.

Head coach Adriano Vertemati describes Zoriks as a combo guard “effective in pick and roll and reliable as a shooter,” with experience across European leagues and an NCAA background.
Vertemati adds that he can integrate quickly, improving ball-handling and decision-making in the backcourt without disrupting the current structure.

The statement traces his path from VEF Riga to three NCAA seasons at Saint Mary’s, then back to Europe with stops in Latvia, Turkey and France with Le Portel (including EuroCup).
This season in Liga Endesa he posted averages of 4.0 points and 1.5 assists, while also carrying national-team experience with Latvia under Italy coach Luca Banchi.
