Virtus Pallacanestro Bologna announce that they have reached a multi-year agreement with Francesco Ferrari.
A 204 cm forward, Ferrari came through the youth ranks of College Basketball Borgomanero before joining Cividale last season in Italy’s Serie A2. This year with the Friulian club, he averaged 14 points and nearly 7 rebounds per game. On December 10, 2025, against Urania Milano, Ferrari scored 36 points — a feat not achieved since 1991 in the top two national divisions by a 20-year-old Italian player.
Ferrari has also been a standout with the national team. Last summer, he played a key role for Italy’s Under-20 side, winning the European Championship while averaging 16 points and 5.4 rebounds per game, performances that earned him the tournament MVP award. He made his senior national team debut on November 27 in the World Cup qualifier against Iceland.
