The Denver Nuggets and their fans received reassuring news following the latest update on Nikola Jokic’s knee injury.

After alarming injury scenarios circulated across social media, medical tests confirmed that Jokic avoided major damage. The three-time NBA MVP was diagnosed with a hyperextension in his left knee, with examinations showing that all knee ligaments remain intact.

Jokic’s agent, Misko Raznatovic, addressed the situation in an interview with TV Arena Sport, expressing relief over the diagnosis and the expected recovery timeline.

“We exchanged a few messages,” Raznatovic said via Mozzart Sport. “It’s good that it’s not the worst knee injury. It’s not the ligaments, but a hyperextension, and he is expected to return to play relatively soon, in three or four weeks. Of course, you never really know. He’s in good spirits and aware that it could have been much worse.”

Denver is already dealing with multiple injury concerns, as starters Christian Braun (ankle), Aaron Gordon (hamstring), and Cam Johnson (knee) are currently sidelined.

Despite the challenges, the Nuggets have opened the 2025–26 season with a strong 22–10 record, largely fueled by Jokic’s exceptional play. The Serbian superstar is averaging 29.9 points, 12.4 rebounds, and 11.1 assists per game in what is shaping up to be another historic season.
