According to Evan Sidery of Forbes, the Oklahoma City Thunder are assessing potential trade options involving former lottery pick Ousmane Dieng. The franchise is reportedly open to moving Dieng’s $6.6 million expiring contract together with a future first-round selection in an effort to bring in an experienced veteran.
At just 22 years old, Dieng still represents a high-upside prospect, particularly attractive for teams focused on rebuilding.
During the current season, the French forward is averaging 4.4 points and 1.8 rebounds in 17 appearances, seeing 12.5 minutes of action per game.
Now in his fourth year in the NBA, Dieng has logged only 126 total games, splitting his time between the league and the G League.
Originally drafted 11th overall in the 2022 NBA Draft by the New York Knicks, Dieng was dealt to Oklahoma City on draft night.
He was also a member of the Thunder squad that captured the NBA title during the 2024–25 season.
