During the Dallas Mavericks’ 126-116 Christmas Day loss to the Golden State Warriors, Anthony Davis suffered a right groin injury.
He pulled up while sprinting in transition at the 8:50 mark of the second quarter and limped to the bench asking out.
Dallas used a timeout, and trainers escorted Davis to the locker room.
He was ruled out prior to the third quarter, with the team officially labeling the issue “right groin spasms.”
Coach Jason Kidd declined to provide an update after the game, and Davis exited the locker room without speaking.
ESPN reported the Mavericks kept him out “out of an abundance of caution.”
