The signing of Cory Joseph has not yet translated into minutes for AS Monaco in Betclic Élite.
The Canadian point guard has not been cleared and will miss the home game against Strasbourg.
Arriving on the Rock last week on a one-month trial, Cory Joseph was not validated by the LNB’s registration and qualification commission.
As a result, he will not be available on Sunday for the 11th round of Betclic Élite.
With 953 NBA games and a championship ring won with the Spurs in 2014, Joseph remains limited to practice gear with the Roca Team.
The LNB commission refused to approve his registration, citing article 77.2 and Monaco’s unpaid financial obligations to the League.
According to the report, AS Monaco’s overdue debts to the LNB are estimated at around 500,000 euros.
Already under an EuroLeague recruitment ban, the Roca Team now has an NBA champion guard sidelined from action in France as well.
