Barcelona have dismissed coach Joan Peñarroya following the disappointing results of the first part of the season. For his successor, the leading candidate would be a familiar face.
According to Marca, the Blaugrana club are reportedly close to reaching an agreement with coach Xavi Pascual, who is currently without a team after leaving Zenit.
In the past, Pascual stated that if Barcelona were to call him, both parties would reach an agreement “within five minutes,” a testament to the strong bond between the Catalan club and the coach.
