The Hellenic Basketball Federation (EOK) confirmed that Vassilis Spanoulis will continue as head coach of the Greek national team

The Hellenic Basketball Federation (EOK) confirmed that Vassilis Spanoulis will continue as head coach of the Greek national team through the 2027 FIBA World Cup.

Spanoulis, who took over in 2023, guided Greece to a bronze medal at EuroBasket 2025, marking the country’s first podium finish in 16 years. His extension was also supported by Giannis Antetokounmpo, who publicly praised the coach after the third-place win over Finland.

The EOK thanked Spanoulis and AS Monaco for their cooperation, confirming that the coach will lead Greece during the upcoming World Cup qualifying windows in Thessaloniki and Portugal.
