Anadolu Efes and Fenerbahçe have released a joint statement addressing reports about the possible return of Maccabi Tel Aviv and Hapoel Tel Aviv to hosting their EuroLeague home games in Israel.
“In recent days, reports have circulated suggesting that, starting from December 1, 2025, Israeli teams may once again play their EuroLeague home games in Israel.
On October 21, 2025, EuroLeague management held an informal meeting to discuss the situation regarding games involving Israeli clubs.
In the press release shared after the meeting—and in subsequent statements made by EuroLeague CEO Paulius Motiejunas—it was stated that all parties acted in full agreement. However, no voting took place during the meeting; it was only decided to continue monitoring the issue.
During the discussions, Anadolu Efes and Fenerbahçe Beko expressed their opposition to the possibility of resuming games in Israel and voiced their concerns about the potential implications such a decision might bring.
Both clubs are continuing talks with the relevant Turkish authorities and with EuroLeague management. Further updates will be shared with the public as the situation develops.
We share this information with all basketball fans.”
