Last year Dinwiddie averaged 11 points and 4.4 assist per game with the Mavs
The Charlotte Hornets have announced the release of Spencer Dinwiddie.
The veteran point guard – 11 points and 4.4 assist per game with the Mavs last year- was on a guaranteed contract and will still receive the $3.6 million owed to him.
With Dinwiddie’s departure, the Hornets now have 14 guaranteed deals on the roster and are expected to keep Moussa Diabaté.
The new point guard could improve Minnesota’s pace and ball movement, while Anthony Edwards remains central to the offense
The former No. 1 pick credits LeBron’s longevity but does not place him alongside Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant
Atlanta and Charlotte have discussed a potential swap involving two veterans currently on the roster bubble
