The Dallas Mavericks have signed head coach Jason Kidd to a multiyear contract extension, the team announced. Kidd, who has been at the helm since 2021, thanked Patrick Dumont and Nico Harrison for their trust: “We’re building something special here. It’s even more meaningful to coach the team that drafted me and where I won a championship.”
The new deal keeps Kidd, Harrison, Kyrie Irving, and Anthony Davis aligned through 2027. Harrison praised his coach: “J-Kidd’s résumé speaks for itself — he’s the right person to lead this team now and in the future.”
Kidd, a 10-time All-Star and two-time Hall of Famer, owns a 179-149 record as Mavericks head coach and remains focused on bringing another title back to Dallas.
