A Los Angeles Lakers fan has filed a lawsuit against LeBron James, claiming the NBA icon misled him with “The Second Decision” — a Hennessy ad many thought signaled his retirement.
According to TMZ Sports, Andrew Garcia, 29, spent $865.66 on tickets for what he believed would be LeBron’s final game against Cleveland. When the “big decision” turned out to be an ad, he says the tickets lost their value.
Garcia is suing for “fraud and misrepresentation,” insisting he wouldn’t have bought the tickets otherwise. LeBron James has yet to publicly respond to the controversy.
