Ahead of their EuroLeague debut, Dubai Basketball CEO Dejan Kamenjasevic pointed out that travel will be the team’s toughest obstacle. “We’ll be in the air for 22 days and away from Dubai for more than two months. No franchise in the world has ever done this,” he said.
He added that even medical experts can’t agree on the best recovery method: “We asked four doctors if we should fly home right after games or stay overnight. Two said go, two said stay. Nobody really knows what’s best.”
“We’re not complaining, but we must protect our players and keep them healthy,” Kamenjasevic stressed, noting the team is already dealing with injuries. “If we survive this, it will be an example for the future.”
