Olympiacos claimed the Greek Super Cup with a 92–83 victory over Promitheas, powered by a stellar performance from Tyler Dorsey, who was named the event’s MVP.
Dorsey poured in 23 points in just 22 minutes, shooting 5-of-7 from beyond the arc. Sasha Vezenkov added 16 points, while Thomas Walkup and Nigel Hall contributed 11 apiece—Walkup also dished out 4 assists, and Hall went a perfect 3-of-3 from the field and 5-of-5 at the foul line.
Promitheas found positives in solid outings from Kendale McCullum (14 points, 8 assists) and former Treviso forward Pauly Paulicap, who tallied 14 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 blocks while hitting all seven of his two-point attempts.
Coach Georgios Bartzokas praised Dorsey after the game:
“Dorsey had the best year of his career in his previous stint with Olympiacos. Last season there were special circumstances that didn’t let him show his talent, but he has gradually returned to a very high level. He loves basketball and works hard. He helped us, he helped the National Team, and now he is completely healthy—physically and mentally—and in an environment where a good scorer can emerge. He handles the ball well, he is unselfish, he’s starting to play more with others, and he is a very important part of our team.”
