Former Partizan player and current Belgrade Arena CEO Goran Grbovic strongly criticized the EuroLeague management, pointing to money-driven decisions such as awarding the 2025 Final Four to Abu Dhabi.
Grbovic argued that the competition “lacks clear leadership,” divided between ECA, IMG and the clubs, while also blasting Panathinaikos owner Dimitris Giannakopoulos for influencing the Athens bid.
He issued a stark warning for the future: “When the NBA presents a global plan, EuroLeague will collapse. Two teams could even join the NBA Eastern Conference.”
