With a post on his Instagram profile, Džanan Musa announced that he will miss EuroBasket 2025 due to “health issues.”
Musa is one of the cornerstones of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which, among other things, will be in the same group as Italy.
Here is the message published by the former Real Madrid player:
Dear fans,
Through this message I want to inform you and the public that, unfortunately, for health reasons I will not be able to help the guys at the upcoming EuroBasket. It’s the first time I’m facing something like this, and it’s certainly not easy to go through. The medical team is, of course, aware of all the details. A few days ago I underwent surgery in Munich, and the recovery will take a few weeks longer than expected.
I don’t need to tell you how much it breaks my heart not to be there with the guys, fighting for our Bosnia and Herzegovina. The expectations were, and still remain, huge. I am sure the guys will carry the weight as they should. With all my heart I am with them, and I am certain that there will be many more tournaments where we will go together as a united team — a team that gives everything for our Homeland.
