According to Meridian Sport, Alen Smailagić will not take part in EuroBasket 2025 and is reportedly already on his way to Bologna.
The Serbian big man, due to physical problems, did not play in any of Serbia’s preparation friendlies for the European Championship, and despite the lack of an official announcement from the federation, he will be cut by coach Pešić.
An announcement has already been made, however, regarding another injured player: Uroš Trifunović, the new guard of Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Tests ruled out any significant damage to his ankle. The player will be reassessed over the next few days
