Real Madrid has announced the departure of Chus Mateo, thanking him for six titles in three years

Chus Mateo is no longer the head coach of Real Madrid, ending a three-season spell highlighted by winning six trophies, including a EuroLeague title and two Spanish League championships.

The club publicly thanked Mateo for his work, noting he was named EuroLeague Coach of the Year in 2023-2024 under his tenure.

Real Madrid emphasized how Mateo embodied the club’s values and wished him and his family the best for the future.
