DeMarcus Cousins has been suspended for the remainder of the season in Puerto Rico following a heated altercation with fans during a game between the Mets de Guaynabo and Vaqueros de Bayamón.
After being provoked, Cousins made obscene gestures and was ejected. He then tried to confront the crowd, forcing security to intervene and remove him by force.
His second stint with the Mets ends abruptly, despite averaging 18.2 points, 9 rebounds, and 4.7 assists over 10 games. He also received a $4,250 fine.
