The Cleveland Cavaliers could feel compelled to bring back Ty Jerome after Darius Garland underwent toe surgery and is expected to miss the start of the 2025-26 campaign.
Jerome thrived as Garland’s backup and sixth man but is now an unrestricted free agent. Without him, Cleveland would enter the season without its top two point guards.
However, re-signing Jerome could push the Cavs over the second apron, with big extensions already in place for Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley. Cap flexibility is becoming a serious issue.
