Dimitris Kondos, Panathinaikos AKTOR’s Basketball and Communications Director, strongly criticized the referees after Game 4 against Anadolu Efes. Speaking to Nova, Kondos expressed frustration over the treatment of Kendrick Nunn and the general handling of Panathinaikos in recent games.
“Everyone can see what’s going on. It’s a matter of respect – for the teams, the game, the athletes, and the great players,” he said, warning that speaking out often leads to fines, creating a culture of silence.
Kondos was especially vocal about the calls involving Nunn: “The way he’s being handled is unacceptable. This is about respect. Let’s not hide behind words.”
He wrapped up by reminding everyone of the club’s legacy: “Panathinaikos has never asked for favoritism. It’s the most successful team in EuroLeague history. That deserves respect. We don’t want to be seen as clowns, but this is becoming too much. Everyone sees it.”
