LeBron James hasn’t made a decision about his future after 22 NBA seasons. “I’ll talk it over with my family. I don’t know yet,” he said after the Lakers’ 4-1 loss to the Timberwolves.
At 40, James still averaged 24.4 points this season and remains intrigued by playing with Luka Doncic and his son Bronny, calling their year together his “No. 1” accomplishment.
With a $56.2 million player option, LeBron could return for a record-breaking 23rd season — but his legacy is already secure, whatever he decides.
