Panathinaikos coach Ergin Ataman criticized the NBA’s European league plan, calling it unrealistic and suggesting collaboration with the EuroLeague
Ergin Ataman dismissed the NBA Europe project as “utopian,” citing rumors about Manchester United and PSG joining: “They’re football clubs, and Europe doesn’t have enough players for so many teams.”
In an interview with Anadolu Agency, the Panathinaikos coach said the NBA should instead support the EuroLeague through marketing. “It would be good for everyone if NBA, FIBA, and EuroLeague found a calendar agreement for national teams,” he added.
Medical tests confirmed the ankle injury sustained in the EuroLeague opener will require several weeks on the sidelines.
