Melli has not yet extended his contract with Olimpia Milano, set to expire at the end of the season

Olimpia Milano big man Nicolò Melli gave an interview to Sport Mediaset before Game 1 of the LBA final against Virtus Bologna.

Melli also talked about all the rumors about his future.

“It’s part of the game. I think it’s the fifth time in my career that I reach the end of my contract. I don’t read all the rumors because I know in my case how many false things are written, let alone for others. Of course there are friends and teammates who tell me about the news that comes out … and every time I just have to laugh. I’m only focused on the series against Virtus, trying to win this championship, trying to win a game on their court. Then for the rest we’ll see.”

This year the 33-year-old big man in the LBA is averaging 9 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 23 minutes per game.
