Ataman had a respiratory infection since earlier this week

Anadolu Efes announced that Ergin Ataman is hospitalized due to pneumonia.

The coach, according to the statement, had a respiratory infection since earlier this week, but still led the team in the games against Real Madrid and Partizan.

“Following checks on Friday, 03/17/2023 due to increased symptoms, he was diagnosed with pneumonia.”

Doctors will decide on Tuesday whether or not to give him the clearance to follow the team in the clash with Alba Berlin, scheduled for next Thursday.
