Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid was fined $75,000 by the NBA for making obscene gestures during the team’s 118-114 win over the Boston Celtics.

Despite a pregame fall during warmups, Embiid played and contributed 27 points and 9 rebounds in 31 minutes.

The 2023 MVP, who was suspended for three games in October, has had a challenging season, appearing in only nine games so far. The 76ers are set to face the Utah Jazz on Saturday night.

The NBA has fined Joel Embiid $75K for making “obscene gestures” at the Celtics crowd on Christmas Day.
