The field for the FIBA Europe Cup 2023-24 Regular Season moved closer to completion with 18 teams joining from the Basketball Champions League Qualifiers

The field for the FIBA Europe Cup 2023-24 Regular Season moved closer to completion with 18 teams joining from the Basketball Champions League Qualifiers.

Bakken Bears (DEN), BC Jonava CBet (LTU), BC Kalev/Cramo (EST), BC TSU Tbilisi (GEO), BG Gottingen (GER), Caledonia Gladiators (GBR), CSM CSU Oradea (ROU), Happy Casa Brindisi (ITA), Heroes Den Bosch (NED), Ironi Ness Ziona (ISR), Karhu Basket (FIN), KB Peja (KOS), KK Mornar – Barsko Zlato (MNE), Legia Warszawa (POL), Norrkoping Dolphins (SWE), Pallacanestro Varese (ITA), Patrioti Levice (SVK) and Petrolina AEK (CYP) opted into the competition and their places are now confirmed.

Among the list of teams, there are four clubs that will be making their debut in the FIBA Europe Cup, while Ironi Ness Ziona were former winners in the 2020-21 season and Varese made it to the Final in the inaugural edition.

Nine spots remain to be filled in the Regular Season with the winners of the seven FIBA Europe Cup Qualifying Tournaments advancing alongside two lucky losers.

The additional spots were made available after French clubs Cholet Basket and SIG Strasbourg both qualified for the Basketball Champions League. The two lucky losers will be determined by the best ranked second-placed clubs from the FIBA Europe Cup Qualifying Tournaments in accordance to Section D of the Official Basketball Rules.

All teams were provisionally placed in the Regular Season when the draw took place in August with 10 groups of four teams.

The final lineup will be confirmed following the conclusion of the FIBA Europe Cup Qualifiers that take place from October 2-5.
