Nik Stauskas annuncia una operazione al ginocchio, stagione finita

Nik Stauskas ha annunciato che dovrà essere operato al ginocchio e che la sua stagione è chiusa anzitempo.
Il giocatore canadese si è separato dal Baskonia.

“Mi sento fortunato ad aver giocato per questa splendida squadra con tifosi così appassionati. La decisione non è stata facile ma, sfortunatamente, ho avuto problemi al ginocchio da inizio anno ed era qualcosa di cui dovevo occuparmi. Abbiamo deciso che la soluzione migliore per me era operarmi e concentrarmi sul mio recupero. Quindi questo significa che la mia stagione sarà più breve. È frustrante perché avevo grandi aspettative ad inizio anno ma la mia salute è la priorità numero 1 al momento. Il recupero inizia ora.”

Thank you to @baskonia1959 and all of it’s fans for welcoming me with open arms this year. I feel lucky to have played for such an amazing organization with such passionate fans. This decision hasn’t been easy, but unfortunately I’ve been battling a knee injury since the beginning of the season and it’s something that I needed to address. After speaking with doctors, the team, my agent and my family, we all decided it was best for me to get surgery and focus on getting myself healthy. Unfortunately this means my season will be cut short and I no longer will be with the team. This is a frustrating time for me because I had high hopes and expectations coming into this season, but my health is my number one priority at this point. Thank you again to everyone who made my experience in Spain an amazing one. Road to recovery starts now. Love you guys ❤️
