Gregg Popovich, coach dei San Antonio Spurs , non ha mai nascosto la sua avversione per l’eccessivo uso del tiro da tre nella NBA moderna: “Come ho già detto in passato, sto solo sperando che arrivi anche il tiro da 4 punti, così tutto sarà ancora di più un circo, e tutti quanti potranno divertirsi…”
