Zion Williamson underwent surgery on right foot, expected back for opening night
The former Duke had an excellent second NBA season, with averages of 27 points, 7.2 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game
On the New Orleans Pelicans Media Day, Team Vice President David Griffin revealed that Zion Williamson underwent surgery in the summer following a broken fifth metatarsal in his right foot, and added that he is unlikely to play in the preseason.
Griffin added that Williamson should be ready for the opening night.
The former Duke had an excellent second NBA season, with averages of 27 points, 7.2 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game, shooting with a remarkable 61% from the field, 29% from long range and 70% from free throws line.
