New Orleans Pelicans rookie sensation Zion Williamson talks with La Gazzetta dello Sport about the upcoming season:

“I couldn’t ask for a better situation. The Pelicans keep up the pace constantly, just the way I like it. I am already working with members of the technical staff and the idea of running is emphasized in each exercise. I’m sure that our offensive schemes will allow me to be lethal from the next season”

On the mix of young talents and veterans on the Pelicans’roster:

“It is essential to have veterans on whom to rely, not only on the floor but also in the locker room. They will be the mentors for the youngest, we will need their advice and their experience. But I am also very impressed by the talent of the youngest. I think we can compete for a championship. Yes, I am convinced that this team can have the Nba title as a goal. I know the complexity of the West. But I see it this way, I’d be lying if I said something different”
