Zion first loses shoe, then says he “felt alive again” after finishing game in Pelicans win
New Orleans rookie has played 25 minutes in crucial win over Memphis.
A rollercoaster game for Zion Williamson in Pelicans’ win over Memphis. First, the rookie lost his shoe during a drive in the third quarter in an incident similar to what happened during his NCAA season.
Then, Williamson was able to finishing the fourth quarter in the game, playing 25 minutes against Memphis in opposition at 29 cumulative minutes against Jazz and Clippers. “I felt alive again. My competitive spirit was there, and I’m glad Coach and the whole team trusted me to finish the game out,” Williamson said after the game.
