Zenit hopes to play anthem from March 6th
Zenit SPB asked VTB United League to play anthem of the Russian Federation in the opening ceremony of home games.

Petersburgers expect to include the Russian anthem from the next meeting in St. Petersburg on March 6. On this day the team will play against Parma Perm.
Zenit also asks to agree on the inclusion of the national anthems of the respective countries in the opening ceremony of the VTB United League games with the participation of Belarusian and Kazakh teams.
"In order to promote patriotic values and state symbols of the Russian Federation among spectators and participants in basketball matches within the framework of the VTB United League, we ask you to allow the inclusion in the opening ceremony of home games of the Zenit basketball clubthe national anthem of the Russian Federation, starting from the nearest home match, which will be held on St. Petersburg on March 6th.
Taking into account that the teams of the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Kazakhstan are also members of the VTB United League, in order to demonstrate friendship, respect and solidarity between our countries and the teams participating in the VTB United League, we also ask you to agree on the inclusion in the opening ceremony of matches involving these teams of the national anthems of the respective countries," reads, among other things, a letter from Zenit to the leadership of the VTB United League.
