Zalgiris Kaunas: Dovydas Giedraitis out indefinitely
Dovydas Giedraitis has suffered a torn thigh muscle and will be forced to stop indefinitely.
Andrea Trinchieri’s Zalgiris Kaunas won the King Mindaugas Cup, the first title with the Lithuanian team for the Italian coach. Nevertheless, there is a couple of bad news for him: in fact, the club announced that Dovydas Giedraitis has suffered a torn thigh muscle and will be forced to stop indefinitely. As a result, the player will not be able to take part in the FIBA EuroBasket 2025 Qualifying matches with his Lithuania, as will Birutis due to some “minor health problems.” The latter will be replaced by Marek Blazevic.
Giedraitis has scored 4.5 points per game this season, but his specialty is helping the team in the defensive half of the court.
