Zach LeDay: I’m a positionless player who will help the team win

LeDay: The group of players we have has a lot of dynamism, versatility, we can do many different things on the court, both on offense and defense. We can play up-tempo with Rodriguez and Delaney running the point

"I would like to say that I am happy to be here, these days it is a blessing, I hope everyone is well. With the crazy things happening the first thing is to thank the healthcare workers, all the first responders. I am grateful to these people, happy to be here and to be able to work." Zach LeDay comes up with a thought for the current world situation before answering basketball-related questions.

THE AFTER KAUNAS – "I don’t think about the past, this is a new journey, it’s my third season in the EuroLeague, the third different system, I’ve been playing at a high level for some time, I don’t worry, I just think about going out there, working with my teammates, do whatever it takes to win and leave everything on the floor."

HIS SKILLS – "What I bring to a team specifically are energy, toughness and versatility. I don’t know any other way to play the game, go out on the court and play as hard as possible, do whatever it takes to win. Fighting, scratching, clawing, leaving everything on the floor and ask questions later. This is what I discussed with the Coach on the phone. Come here, play uptempo, run, do everything ".

THE RETURN AFTER THE LONG HIATUS – "I want to say that I am grateful to those who are helping us to overcome the crisis, but once on the court I will only think about giving everything, leaving on the floor everything I have, playing with a lot of toughness and grit. When you are on the court you don’t think about anything else, you play as hard as possible and fight for your brothers."

THE TEAM – "The group of players we have has a lot of dynamism, versatility, we can do many different things on the court, both on offense and defense. We can play up-tempo with Rodriguez and Delaney running the point".

THE EVOLUTION OF HIS GAME – "I like to think of myself as a positionless player, I can play in any position the Coach wants me to play. On the court I will give whatever I have to help the team win at a high level. I’m a positionless 4, but I can play hard, be versatile and do a lot of different things offensively and defensively, help any kind of line-up".
