Six straight wins bring Pedro Martínez’s team closer to the top three, where Olympiacos, Panathinaikos and Fenerbahçe retain their preseason places. Crvena Zvezda and Valencia have strengthened their playoff cases and climb four spots each.

20. Baskonia (1–8, down 1)

Six straight losses and a league-worst −99 point differential. The 15-point defeat at ASVEL was especially costly against a direct rival. Baskonia have perimeter talent, but a thin frontcourt remains a concern over a full season.

19. Bayern Munich (2–7, down 4)

Bayern lost all four home games and closed October with a 30-point defeat in Belgrade. A play-in push will take more consistent offense against top-tier opponents, especially when games slow down and easy baskets are scarce.

18. Maccabi Tel Aviv (2–7, down 5)

Maccabi scored 94 against Paris and still lost their third straight. There is talent to build on, but allowing 94.7 points per game leaves little margin even on good shooting nights. Defensive improvement will determine how far they can climb.

17. Paris Basketball (3–6, up 1)

Road wins over Dubai and Maccabi showed how much trouble Paris can cause deeper teams at their preferred pace. A 1–4 home record still tempers their play-in outlook. They need more reliable results when opponents dictate the tempo.

16. Olimpia Milan (1–8, down 5)

Milan have lost seven straight and sit four wins behind 10th place. Peppe Poeta’s team stayed close against Panathinaikos and Olympiacos. A recovery will depend on better late-game execution and an improvement on their 0–5 road record.

15. ASVEL Villeurbanne (4–5, up 5)

Wins over Partizan and Baskonia earn the maximum five-place rise. ASVEL started last in September and are already in touch with the play-in pack. Their −43 differential shows how heavy some of the defeats have been.

14. Virtus Bologna (4–5, up 3)

A 4–2 start raised expectations before three straight losses. Virtus led Beşiktaş by seven after three quarters and then gave up 33 in the fourth. Protecting leads like that will shape Bologna’s play-in chances.

13. Partizan Belgrade (4–5, up 1)

The derby win over Crvena Zvezda showed what Partizan can do. Losses to ASVEL and Žalgiris, along with a league-low 78.4 points per game, keep them outside the projected top 10.

12. Anadolu Efes (4–5, down 5)

A 30-point loss to Hapoel followed by a 15-point win over Panathinaikos captured Efes’ first month. They can beat top teams, but a 1–4 road record makes September’s playoff projection harder to sustain.

11. Beşiktaş (4–5, up 5)

Three wins in five road games, including a fourth-quarter comeback in Bologna, are an encouraging sign for a debutant. Beşiktaş have already shown they can win tight games away from Istanbul, a good foundation for a play-in push.

10. Žalgiris Kaunas (5–4, down 2)

Wins over ASVEL, Virtus and Partizan steadied Žalgiris after a 2–4 start. The roster has playoff depth. Carrying that form into games against top-tier opponents would move Kaunas closer to their preseason position.

9. FC Barcelona (6–3, up 3)

Three straight wins, three road victories and a 98–94 result against Valencia have eased concerns about how quickly a rebuilt roster would come together. Barcelona already have a credible playoff case.

8. Dubai Basketball (6–3, down 3)

The 97–83 win over Hapoel showed Dubai’s ceiling. The home loss to Paris showed how much consistency they still need. Their depth gives them Final Four potential, with work to do before they join the leading contenders.

7. Hapoel Tel Aviv (6–3, down 1)

Hapoel won four straight, including a game at Panathinaikos, before losing at Dubai. Their rotation keeps them in the playoff tier. Sustaining that level away from home against direct rivals will show how much higher they can aim.

6. Valencia (6–3, up 4)

Valencia lead the league in points scored and have won three of four road games. September’s question was how much of last season’s success would survive the overhaul. The new group has already shown enough to project a playoff push.

5. Crvena Zvezda (6–3, up 4)

Crvena Zvezda scored 100 against Maccabi and 103 against Bayern, and their official +80 differential ranks second. Ibon Navarro’s team has the physicality, depth and defensive record to sustain its rise.

4. Real Madrid (6–3, unchanged)

Six straight wins after an 0–3 start, capped by a 95–76 victory over Fenerbahçe. Pedro Martínez’s offense is already clicking, and Madrid have done the most to close the gap on the preseason top three.

3. Fenerbahçe (6–3, unchanged)

Perfect at home and 1–3 away, Fenerbahçe are still finding their balance. The defeat in Madrid carries weight, while roster depth and Jasikevicius’ playoff experience keep them among the leading Final Four candidates.

2. Panathinaikos (7–2, unchanged)

Panathinaikos lead the standings with a league-best +86 differential, having played seven of nine games at home. The talent is there for a title run. The road schedule will tell us more about how quickly Obradović can establish the same consistency away from Athens.

1. Olympiacos (7–2, unchanged)

Five wins in six road games are the strongest part of Olympiacos’ opening month. Bartzokas has a title-winning core that knows his system, keeping the defending champions first with May in mind.

Olympiacos, Panathinaikos and Fenerbahçe retain the top three spots.
