The deal strengthens his place in the franchise\u2019s long-term plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to <strong>Shams Charania of ESPN<\/strong>, Wallace is coming off a season in which he averaged 8.6 points, 2.6 assists and 1.9 steals per game, earned second-team All-Defensive honors and led the NBA with 150 total steals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thunder GM Sam Presti had already pointed to Wallace\u2019s development as part of the reason Oklahoma City moved Luguentz Dort: \u201cWe think you can have a great role on this team.
