However, the clubs agreed to pause EuroLeague\u2019s expansion plan from 20 to 24 teams, which included turning several clubs into permanent franchises. The move addresses one of the NBA\u2019s conditions for keeping negotiations open.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The NBA plans to launch its own 16-team European competition next season, with 12 permanent members and two potential Italian locations, Rome and Milan.
