Karl-Anthony Towns and the New York Knicks have made little progress in their contract extension talks, with a deal before the start of training camp considered unlikely. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to ESPN\u2019s Shams Charania, the discussions have nevertheless remained \u201ccordial.\u201d Towns is eligible for an extension that could reach $276 million over four seasons. \u201cThis is a cloud going into training camp,\u201d Charania said. Towns has a $61 million player option for the 2027-28 season and could become a free agent in 2027. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
