New York Knicks all-around forward Josh Hart spoke with reporters at the US Open about his team and the mindset heading into the upcoming season.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs a group, we all have a certain type of character that leads us to always help one another. We\u2019ve realized that you can go a long way when everyone is willing to sacrifice and nobody puts their own ego ahead of the team.<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t think we\u2019ll have a target on our backs, especially because I don\u2019t think anyone considers us favorites to win the title again. We\u2019re using all of this as fuel. We\u2019re still the hunters. It\u2019s a role that suits us perfectly… We\u2019re not satisfied with winning one title. Obviously, now the goal is to win the next one as well.\u201d<\/p>\n
Hart finished last season averaging 12 points, 7.4 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game, while shooting 50% from the field and 41% from three-point range.<\/p>\n
Under contract through 2028, the former Villanova standout became eligible about a month ago for a four-year, $132 million extension.<\/p>\n
