She is attempting to prevent her five siblings from selling the 17.8% stake still held by the family trust.<\/p>\n<p>NBA rules require a governor to own at least 15% of a franchise. If the family\u2019s remaining shares are sold, Buss could therefore lose her position, while acquiring additional equity appears difficult.<\/p>\n<p>According to Buss\u2019 court petition, minority owners Patrick Soon-Shiong and Ed Roski Jr., who collectively hold approximately 7%, do not intend to sell and support her leadership.
