According to <strong>Jake Fischer<\/strong>, the Los Angeles Clippers have not withdrawn their qualifying offer, meaning the forward remains a restricted free agent.<\/p>\n<p>The Clippers cannot receive direct compensation for rescinding the offer because such an arrangement would violate NBA collective bargaining rules. Los Angeles could, however, participate in a multi-team trade designed to create the salary-cap space New Orleans needs to sign Mathurin.<\/p>\n<p>That structure could allow the Clippers to acquire an asset indirectly while facilitating the 24-year-old\u2019s move to the Pelicans.
