He redshirted during the 2021-22 campaign and subsequently appeared in 147 games between the 2022-23 and 2025-26 seasons.<\/p>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"1dgtijv\" data-start=\"2614\" data-end=\"2681\"><span role=\"text\"><strong data-start=\"2617\" data-end=\"2681\">Kaufman-Renn was selected by Minnesota in the 2026 NBA Draft<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2683\" data-end=\"2924\">Kaufman-Renn entered the professional pathway after the Minnesota Timberwolves selected him with the <strong data-start=\"2784\" data-end=\"2839\">29th pick of the second round in the 2026 NBA Draft<\/strong>. The 6-foot-9 forward later suited up in five NBA Summer League games for Minnesota.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2926\" data-end=\"3071\">However, his NBA future has yet to be finalized. Kaufman-Renn has not signed a standard NBA contract, a two-way deal or a training camp contract.<\/p>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"175wm2b\" data-start=\"3073\" data-end=\"3131\"><span role=\"text\"><strong data-start=\"3076\" data-end=\"3131\">Trey Kaufman-Renn challenges NCAA eligibility rules<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"3133\" data-end=\"3330\">The forward\u2019s legal move comes as multiple cases are being brought before courts around the country over NCAA eligibility rules and the possibility of granting certain players an additional season.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3332\" data-end=\"3698\">Kaufman-Renn\u2019s attorney, Mickey Weber, has stressed that his client does not want to miss out on the opportunity to return to college.
