From \u20ac12.5 million to \u20ac6-7 million<\/h3>\n

The situation surrounding AS Monaco Basketball changed significantly within just a few hours on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Before the CNOSF hearing, club lawyer Xavier Le Cerf-Galle had told Nice-Matin<\/em><\/a> that Monaco was aiming to build a budget of around \u20ac12.5 million<\/strong> for the 2026-27 season.<\/p>\n

Following two and a half hours of conciliation talks, however, Nice-Matin<\/em> reported a potential budget of between \u20ac6 million and \u20ac7 million<\/strong>, taking into account both already secured revenues and income that could be generated during the season.<\/p>\n

The sharp revision highlights the uncertainty surrounding the French champions.<\/p>\n

Monaco has \u20ac5 million in identified resources<\/h3>\n

Monaco says it currently has around \u20ac5 million in identified resources<\/strong>, including \u20ac3.27 million already received or documented<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Those resources include sponsorship income and transfer compensation. Additional revenue could come during the season from ticketing and season-ticket sales, commercial partnerships and game-related income.<\/p>\n

Several long-term partners would also reportedly be willing to continue supporting the club if Monaco is ultimately allowed to compete in the Betclic ELITE.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the roster planned at the beginning of the summer has gradually been dismantled. Mathis Dossou-Yovo has joined ASVEL, while the situations of players such as Yakuba Ouattara and Jo\u00ebl Ayayi remain unclear.<\/p>\n

Monaco claims to have cleared its debt<\/h3>\n

Another key point presented by Monaco during the hearing was its financial situation.<\/p>\n

According to Nice-Matin<\/em>, the club now claims to be \u201ceffectively free of debt\u201d<\/strong> following several debt waivers by its shareholders and historical creditors.<\/p>\n

After the hearing, Le Cerf-Galle defended the club’s new financial position, stating that Monaco’s financial situation had been cleaned up and that it already had \u20ac5 million in resources<\/strong>, including approximately \u20ac3.3 million documented at the beginning of the season.<\/p>\n
