The youth academy is once again playing a leading role at ASISA Joventut. Up to eight players from the Club’s youth setup are taking part in the first preseason practices with the first team, another demonstration of the Club’s commitment to homegrown talent and player development.

Izan Pérez, Daniel Osayi, Pol Saló, Adrián Torres, Ferran Mauri, Matej Buben, Humber Ruiz and Diego Niebla have been working under Dani Miret during these opening days, becoming part of the first team’s setup.

For all eight, the preseason represents a great opportunity to continue developing. The young players can gain experience in a highly demanding environment, get a closer look at the first-team dynamics and continue to showcase the talent and potential they have developed within the Club’s structure.

However, their presence goes beyond the practices themselves. It reflects a model and a way of understanding the Club. At Penya, the youth academy is part of the identity, and seeing youth players sharing the court with the first team is a clear example of the path available to youngsters who develop within the green-and-black structure.

With eight youth players involved at the start of preseason, ASISA Joventut once again highlights one of the Club’s greatest strengths: developing, supporting and giving opportunities to homegrown talent. Because the youth academy is not only the future. It is also the present.
