\u201cHARMING THE IMAGE OF THE COMPETITION AND ITS PARTICIPANTS\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

The LNB’s Legal, Disciplinary and Regulations Commission<\/strong> has sanctioned Paris Basketball<\/strong> over a social media post published during the quarterfinal playoff series against SIG Strasbourg<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

After losing Game 2 in Strasbourg 87-82 on May 28, Paris Basketball publicly accused William Pfister<\/strong> of being responsible for an injury suffered by Sebastian Herrera<\/strong>, which was ultimately not serious.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Paris published a video montage focused on Pfister, accompanied by a strongly worded message:<\/p>\n

\u201cFour times in 10 minutes, Strasbourg player William Pfister does not play the ball, but the man, to hurt him.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The club then added:<\/p>\n

\u201cUntil he injured Sebastian Herrera, who will miss tomorrow’s game. @betclic_elite, how many players will we have to lose before action is taken?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The post was later deleted after Strasbourg president J\u00e9r\u00f4me Rosenstiehl<\/strong> contacted the LNB. However, it remained visible for around 15 hours<\/strong> on Paris Basketball’s Facebook account, which has nearly 70,000 followers, generating significant negative reactions.<\/p>\n

\u20ac1,500 FINE + \u20ac1,500 SUSPENDED FINE<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

The LNB commission considered the post to constitute \u201charm to the image of its competition and its participants\u201d<\/strong>, referring the club to the disciplinary process.<\/p>\n

The CJDR<\/strong>, which met on July 22, ultimately handed Paris Basketball:<\/p>\n
