According to an anonymous source close to the project, the deal was allegedly used to circumvent the salary cap, in a similar fashion to the allegations at the center of the NBA\u2019s ongoing investigation into Leonard\u2019s relationship with Aspiration.<\/p>\n
The source claims that money was funneled from the Clippers to Daktronics and then to Leonard<\/strong> through the sponsorship agreement. A former high-ranking Clippers executive also reportedly confirmed being aware of the deal.<\/p>\n The length and financial terms of the alleged agreement are currently unknown.
