Boakye is considered a modern center, combining elite physical strength with impressive mobility, making him an excellent rim protector, a reliable presence in transition, and a relentless rebounder.<\/p>\n<p>Boakye developed at <strong>George Harris Prep<\/strong> in Mississauga before drawing NCAA attention thanks to his size and athleticism. After beginning his college career at <strong>Arizona State<\/strong>, he enjoyed a breakout 2023-24 campaign at <strong>Fresno State<\/strong>, where he nearly averaged a double-double while recording 1.2 blocks per game and shooting 61.2% from the field during the regular season.<\/p>\n<p>His performances earned him a move to <strong>Villanova<\/strong> for the 2024-25 season. As a regular starter, he appeared in all 36 games, providing a significant impact, particularly on the boards.<\/p>\n<p>On the international stage, Boakye helped <strong>Canada<\/strong> capture the silver medal at the <strong>2019 FIBA Americas U16 Championship<\/strong>, averaging 8.8 points and 10.8 rebounds per game.<\/p>\n<p>Boakye arrived in Europe for the 2025-26 season, making his professional debut with <strong>SC Derby Podgorica<\/strong> in the ABA League before joining <strong>Spirou Charleroi<\/strong> in Belgium in January 2026. He made an immediate impact in the Belgian League, averaging <strong>10.6 points, 7.4 rebounds<\/strong>, and shooting an outstanding <strong>70.1% from two-point range<\/strong>.
